The workshop

I design and create each bag in my Herefordshire studio using skills acquired over 45 years, to create unique bags for my customers. The 6 designs are a result of 4 decades to deliver bags which are well balanced, functional and beautiful. Using patterns perfected over the years, each bag is hand cut to order and each seam is double stitched for strength. Straps are reinforced, zips are guaranteed, larger bags have a base with studs for structure and strength. Lined in cotton, each bag has 2-3 open pockets for easy access to everyday essentials. The final process of hand finishing requires care and attention to detail, including the hand finished tags on the zip pulleys. 

The Rabbit tapestry is exclusively woven in Belgium on jacquard looms developed to reproduce the depth of colour found in medieval wall hangings. Drawn from a detail in La Vue, one of the famous La Dame a la Licorne on display at the Cluny museum, Paris. Densely woven to order in cotton for strength and stability. Each piece is tailored for each customer.

Bespoke bags are constructed using sumptuous velvets, tapestries and jacquards from connections and collections amassed by Bernadette over many years. Fabrics are chosen for their strength and durability alongside texture and colour. Available in 4 sizes : Cross Body Bag, Traveller Bag, Overnight Bag and Weekend Bag. Each bag is tailored for each customer following a consultation to decide fabrics and palette.
